Our Story
TeacherPD Australia was born out of frustration. As a classroom teacher, I spent countless hours searching across dozens of websites trying to find relevant professional development opportunities. State associations, museums, universities, government programs – each had their own website, their own calendar, their own way of doing things.
I thought: why isn't there one place where Australian teachers can find all the PD opportunities available to them?
So I built it.
Our Mission
Every teacher's professional development journey looks different - and it should. TeacherPD Australia exists to make sure every Australian educator can find the PD that's right for them: their subject, their stage, their goals, their budget.
What We Do
TeacherPD Australia is a directory that brings together professional development opportunities from across the country. We partner with education providers – from state teacher associations to museums, universities to government organisations – to list their PD offerings in one searchable place.
For teachers, it's completely free. Always has been, always will be.
We believe great PD takes many forms. For some teachers it's a weekend conference that sparks new thinking. For others it's an online course completed during the holidays, a book read on the commute, or a free video watched between lessons. Budget, time, career stage and teaching context all shape what's right for you - and none of those paths is more valid than another. Our job is to make sure you can find yours.
We believe that access to professional learning shouldn't be a treasure hunt. Teachers are busy enough without having to navigate dozens of websites to find the right course.
